Who we are
Noctropics ("Noctropics," "we," "us") is a US direct-to-consumer skincare brand. This policy applies to noctropics.com and to any emails we send you. Questions can be sent to hello@noctropics.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your email address when you join our waitlist; your name, email, order number, and message when you contact us.
- Order information (once we launch): when we begin selling, orders will be processed through Shopify, which will collect your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone, and payment details.
- Automatically collected information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and similar data collected through cookies, analytics tools, and marketing pixels.
How we use your information
- To add you to our waitlist and tell you when Noctropics launches, including any waitlist offer such as launch-day discounts.
- To send marketing emails.
- To respond to your messages and provide customer support.
- To process and ship orders once we begin selling.
- To understand how the site is used, improve it, and measure our advertising.
- To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers who process data for us
We share information with processors that help us operate, and only as needed for their services:
- Klaviyo — collects and stores waitlist emails and sends our email messages.
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives contact-form submissions.
- Shopify — will process orders, payments, and shipping after launch.
- Analytics and advertising providers — which may include pixels or tags from platforms such as Google or Meta.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Cookies, analytics, and marketing pixels
We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and show and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use browser privacy controls or the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal to limit sharing for advertising. Some features may not work if you disable cookies.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Waitlist and marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. Order and tax records will be kept as required by law.
Your rights and choices
You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, you may also have the rights below.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, using advertising and analytics cookies and pixels may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You may opt out by emailing us or by using the GPC signal in your browser.
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email hello@noctropics.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you.
Residents of other US states with privacy laws may have similar rights, and can use the same email address to exercise them.
Children
Noctropics is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards and rely on reputable providers, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
